Nokia 1st Windows Phone Based Phablet : Nokia Lumia 1520

This year Nokia has just broken its own record again by producing its 1st 6" Touch screen Phablet that is powered by Windows Phone 8 Operating Systems. The 6" screen is protected by the famous Corning Gorilla Glass 2. This huge brother is being named as Lumia 1520 that have similar design as its siblings, but with a much larger screen.

Below are the brief specification:

  • 6-inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen
  • Microsoft Windows Phone 8 Black
  • Nano-SIM card slot
  • Quad-core 2.2 GHz Krait 400 processor
  • 2GB RAM
  • 32GB Storage
  • 20MP Rear Camera (Dual LED Flash), 1.2MP Front Camera
  • Connectivity: 3G, 4G LTE, WiFi a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth v3.0, NFC
  • Navigation: A-GPS and GLONASS
  • Non-removable Li-Ion 3400 mAh battery
  • Dolby Headphone sound enhancement

The good thing about this phone is it comes with a 20MP PureView camera with ZEISS lens without having the bulky camera design like Lumia 1020 and the phone is also slightly thinner, but however its camera is not as powerful as compared to Lumia 1020 because of the smaller sensor size, lower megapixels counts and the missing of one of the biggest assets for low light shooting which is Xenon Flash.

But this doesn't ends here. Even though Lumia 1520 has smaller sensor and lower megapixel counts as compared to its sibling Lumia 1020, but it is still manages to blow most of its competitors away with its PureView Sensor by having Optical Image Stabilizer(OIS), about 2 times larger sensors and 2 times higher megapixel counts as compared to its competitors, other than that one does not simply ignore the fact that this phone does come with Dual LED flash and combined with its large sensor and OIS, it is capable to outrun most of its competitors that still packed with Single LED Flash, smaller sensor size and those with digital image stabilizer especially during low light shooting

Nokia Lumia 1520 is also packed with a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor which can only be found in high end Smartphones like Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Sony Xperia Z1, the processor is faster than its sibling that's packed with a dual core processor. This ensures Lumia 1520 will enjoy the silky smooth gaming experience and good multitasking ability that most people looking for.

A last word for this phablet, we can conclude that Nokia made this phablet for a more enjoyable experience for surfing, gaming and multitasking with its 6" HD screen and its powerful quad core processor but with a little loss in camera performance as compared to Nokia Lumia 1020 and vice versa.

Nokia Lumia 1520 is available in Superbuy from as low as RM1,888
