Xiaomi Launched its 2014 main dishes, The Xiaomi Mi 4 with Mi Band as dessert.

After seeing so much leaks of Xiaomi Mi 4 with different kind of rumors on its specs and design, Xiaomi finally unveiled its Xiaomi Mi 4 with iPhone-like design. The key highlights of the phone are confirmed as of below:

  • 5" 1080p IPS display by Sharp / JDI OGS
  • Qualcomm 801 chipset QuaD Core 2.5Ghz Processor
  • MIUI 5 OS(Upgradable) based on Android 4.4 (Kitkat)
  • 13MP Sony Rear camera with f/1.8
  • 8MP Front Facing Sony Camera
  • 3GB RAM, 16/64GB Internal storage
  • Micro Sim card Slot
  • Connectivity: 4G/LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC
  • A-GPS Support
  • 3080mAh Battery Capacity
The specifications look quite similar with the flagship killer One Plus One while the price tag is also around there at a launching price of CNY1,999 which is approximately RM1,099 when converted to Ringgit Malaysia. The Mi 4 is now come with LTE connectivity support that is missing in its previous Mi 3, but unfortunately the lack of microSD expansion in Mi 3 is still there in the Mi 4 which is a little bit turn-off especially when you're getting the 16GB version.

Other than that, Xiaomi also surprise us with Mi Band which will be selling at only CNY79 (About RM49). The Mi Band is not just a band for display only, it is made for fitness purpose that comes with functions like fitness monitor, sleep tracker, sleep-cycle smart alarm and a special feature that can unlock your Mi phone without a password. The Mi band also comes with a water resistant rating of IP67 and has a good standby power of 30 days. If you need some advice for the Mi Band, why not just think the other way round like what else do you want in a Fitness band that cost only CNY79?
