Other than Huawei who cares about Selfie shot, Sony also sees this as an opportunity during this Selfie generation and came out with their very first PROselfie Smartphone, The Sony Xperia C3 available in white, black and mint color which is suitable for both genders.
The Sony Xperia C3 is packed with a 5MP wide angle 25mm lens for its front facing camera and a rare soft LED flash support which is good for selfie especially when light is limited. This appears to be the first Android Smartphones that comes with LED flash for front facing camera. As for the regular shot, the rear camera is packed with a 8MP Exmor RS shooter also supported with LED flash. Other than the camera itself, Sony throws in pretty much beauty apps which allows you to retouch the photo by adding in different beauty effect, some extra fun frames, applying makeup and eye effects that look like you have applied some real makeup. Sony knows that previewing your selfie shot is less fun with a small screen and matches the Xperia C3 with a generous 5.5" screen which is big enough for you to make sure everything in the photo is fine before posting them to your social network. Performance wise it was packed with a Snapdragon 400 quad core chipset clocked at 1.2Ghz which should be sufficient for average usage and paired with 1GB RAM that is enough for daily usage without heavy multitasking. With all these hardware packed inside, the Xperia C3 appeared to be a mid-range device that has been boosted with a capable selfie shooter. Juicing up the device is a 2500mAh Li-Ion battery which should bring you through the day without much issue, even it does the stamina mode should help to squeeze out every last drops of juice for longer hour. The Xperia C3 comes with 2 variants, the trending dual SIM version and single SIM version which comes with LTE connectivity support which is good for uploading your selfie shots. Final words, would this device stand out of the crowd? Definitely yes. But how well does the Xperia C3 perform as compared to current capable selfie shooter like Huawei Ascend P7 which comes with 8MP front camera that features panoramic selfie (also known as "groupfies")? To make it simple we are going to compare the Sony Xperia Z2 with its predecessor Xperia Z1. First of all we started with its design, oh! they look almost the same! And yes, they applied the similar design of Z2 with the Z1 and the same IP58 water and dust proof rating that was rated to withstand 1.5 Meter depth of freshwater immersion for 30 minutes with condition that all flaps must be closed firmly.
