To make it simple we are going to compare the Sony Xperia Z2 with its predecessor Xperia Z1. First of all we started with its design, oh! they look almost the same! And yes, they applied the similar design of Z2 with the Z1 and the same IP58 water and dust proof rating that was rated to withstand 1.5 Meter depth of freshwater immersion for 30 minutes with condition that all flaps must be closed firmly. However, it still came with a slightly thinner profile and a larger screen of 5.2" as compared to Z1 that comes with 5" display. Underneath the screen it was packed with a faster processor of Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset with 2.3Ghz Quad-core Kraits 400 processor and a Adreno 330 GPU that's best for gaming. Other than that, the RAM capacity has been increased to 3GB for much better multitasking.

The impressive 20.7MP G-Lens camera that came with large 1/2.3" sensor size found in Z1 remain unchanged in Z2 but with some additional tweak on its software. The Z2 is now capable to record up to 120fps video in 720p mode which means a slow motion video can now be recorded with the Z2 while maximum resolution setting for video recording has been increased to 4k at the rate of 30fps.

This device is now also came with stereo speaker which should be helpful to boost its loudness of the external speaker that was found to be weak in its previous waterproof models.

With the specifications provided for this Smartphone, one can easily tell that this device is definitely a killer phone for those who seek for a high specs Smartphone that is compact enough to fit in their pocket without sacrificing much in screen size. Its 4.5" IPS is one of the best screen you can find in mid-range Smartphones with rich resolution of 329ppi which is equivalent to iPhone 5's display and this screen size is also manageable with single handed unlike those 5" touchscreen Smartphone which you might need both of your hand to operate them efficiently. Other than that, the screen is also being protected by a durable Corning Gorilla Glass 3 that keeps your worries away if it falls on the ground. Moreover the back cover of Moto G is also replaceable with various of harmony color of your choice, this also means that if your casing is damaged or scratched, you can replace a new one with the color of your choice with ease.

Performance wise, this Moto G is powered by Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset with Adreno 305 GPU, this engine is enough to power up the Moto G without lag issue and normal gaming experience will be silky smooth. The 1GB ram packed inside is also good enough for average multitasking which is good for daily use as well.

The camera that's packed in this device is an ordinary 5MP rear camera with HDR support that produces good quality of photo for normal shooting and it also supports 720p@30fps with stereo sound. As for the front facing camera, Moto G comes with a rather rare 1.3MP front facing camera that is quite hard to find from today's mid-range Smartphones but Moto G just did it to stand out from the crowd. With this 1.3MP front facing camera, this device is good enough for taking selfie and video call.

The only let down of this device is that it only comes with a choice of 8GB/16GB Internal storage without the option to extend your storage with external memory card, however, Google does compromise this by offering free 50GB Google drive storage for 2 years. With all the great deals packed in this phone from starting price of RM 678, there's probably nothing more you can beg for from this underpriced Moto G.
