However, this year Sony is bringing back waterproof mid-range device and it will be based on the existing Xperia M2 with the name of Xperia M2 Aqua which should help better indicating the device is waterproof.
The phone will be built based on the existing M2 in terms of design and specifications. The only difference of the Xperia M2 Aqua has is the ability to play with water and might have a chance of getting one with LTE enabled. Sony claims the Xperia M2 Aqua was rated with the highest level of waterproofing available in a Smartphone at a rating of IP68 certification.
